LOOKING FORWARD

The thing that I am looking forward to most right now is going to Denver with the school band. Our band is working very hard and rehearsing as much as we can so that we sound amazing when we get there. We are going for a competition but mostly I think that we're trying to get away from our family, for a break from school, and to just have a bunch of fun. I know that I should be hyped just to go and play my instrument but truly I am just excited that I get to be on a type of vacation meant just for me. There is one problem though, my dad is going to be a chaperone for the trip. It isn't a bad thing that he's going but I would like to be on a vacation and be on my own in a way.
Denver is going to be very fun with all my friends. I'll be rooming with some of the best girls I have met. They are so much fun to be around. When the four of us are together we just laugh the whole time. I would know because Ashley and I always get sideaches from laughing and it's just going to be an awesome trip. This trip is going to be the highlight of this year at high school. Not only will the band and orchestra do really well, we're going to go to six flags to "relax". Although I think that we will simply get very tired from running around like crazy people at six flags like we did last year. But truly this is going to be very fun and it is just what I need right now instead of being so busy you can't sleep. I am very much so looking forward to the trip to Denver.

The Top Five

There are things in this world that I have learned to love and others that I have learned to only accept. My top five favorite places are 1: My home; 2: My cousin's house in Murray; 3: Powerhouse Studio; 4: The Mall; 5: and England.
The fifth is England because I have been there and was amazed when I was. It has beautiful streets and everyone that is English tried helping me along. England is a romantic place with palaces and abbeys. One of my favorite times there was when I was in "The Wall". It is like Broadway only in England. I got to see several different plays but my favorite was Spamalot. the story of Monthy Python and the Holy Grail in a musical form. Tim Curry was King Arthur and it was just so cool so see him so close.
The fourth is the mall and any girl knows that it is fun to shop all day. In any store or anything. Shoes, or Jewelry, it is fun to see the variety of things sold to the world and plus you get to have what you want for a short period of time.
My third favorite place is powerhouse studio. I do ballet as you already know and other dances as well. Clogging, hip hop, Jazz, and contemporary are some of the classes given there. I take each of them. The director there is amazing. She doesn't just get mad at us, she sees our full potential and takes it to the max. I love her as a close friend. I feel at peace when I am there because I can forget any of my troubles.
Second is my cousin's house. I go there often for various things but they are always welcoming to my family. We get along very well. The family is all close in age and so we just separate into age groups and we are like a huge family that just belongs together all the time. I love it.
My favorite of all is my home. It is a place of refuge from school or just a bad day. My family listens to me no matter what the condition and it builds a wall against the storm of hard times. Homes can be a bad place too though. Sometimes I have a hard time going there but most of the days I enjoy being home.

EYE Surgery

I want to become a surgeon. Either an eye doctor or a neurosurgeon. Maybe not a Neurosurgeon but anything that is doctor like. Being an eye doctor would probably the more fun of the two.
I have already been a job Shadow for Dr. Powell and was able to witness several cataract surgeries. It was the most fun I had had for school in a long time.
The body is a fascinating thing to be explore and find the ways to heal it. I want to be able to help those around me who cannot help themselves. Saving others is another reason I want to become a doctor. I really do want to help others.
I have had this dream for a while now. Since the beginning of my freshman year. It's going to be difficult to attain but at the same time I want it very much. On the other hand it would be a lonely job. I'm a people person and I wouldn't be able to see my family very often so it would be sort of sad at the same time. In order to accomplish this dream I plan on going to college. College is going to take a very long time. Medical school will be a definite place to go. I hope to be able to reach this goal.
Right now to make this happen I'm taking the medical classes at the V.C. across the street and trying to progress fast. It is slightly difficult but it will be okay because I think it will eventually happen and I am hoping for the best and that is all I can do. The job shadowing is also another way I'm preparing for my future. Next year I intend on being an intern for either Dr. Powell or just an intern in the Nurses station at the hospital. I can't wait and hope to spend the rest of my preparation time wisely.

More Becoming stuff

So the last blog was me being a surgeon and that is still what I want. I would really like to become a dancer. Not any dancer a professional Ballerina. Ever since I was a young girl I have wanted this so much. It seems kinda childish of a dream and sometimes people think that I can't accomplish it. It hurts a little bit when I hear it. Usually I only hear constuctive criticism though. Ballet is my life and I love it. I want to become this so I can be happy, healthy, and do what I love.
Dancing makes me let my emotions out. I really can almost feel nothing when I'm dancing. Even when I have anything like headaches, they simply go away. It's the strangest thing. But Truly I don't think I'm ever as happy as I can be when I'm not dancing. It's like the pain in my muscles and feet aren't even there. I can just let my body flow and do everything I can to make myself feel good. Dancing allows me to push through rough times and believe me I have some of those. But it's all good because I can rid myself of the pain. Ballet is healthy because it trims my muscles. It also helps me deal with my problems.
Ballet is simply what I do. I have been blessed with many other talents but this is probably my most favorite one. The ability to just let go feels good. I just love it so much. For me there are no more words that can describe it.
I know I was only supposed to write one post but I felt like I should at least get it off my chest. Whatever I suppose. That's all : )
