The Top Five

There are things in this world that I have learned to love and others that I have learned to only accept. My top five favorite places are 1: My home; 2: My cousin's house in Murray; 3: Powerhouse Studio; 4: The Mall; 5: and England.
The fifth is England because I have been there and was amazed when I was. It has beautiful streets and everyone that is English tried helping me along. England is a romantic place with palaces and abbeys. One of my favorite times there was when I was in "The Wall". It is like Broadway only in England. I got to see several different plays but my favorite was Spamalot. the story of Monthy Python and the Holy Grail in a musical form. Tim Curry was King Arthur and it was just so cool so see him so close.
The fourth is the mall and any girl knows that it is fun to shop all day. In any store or anything. Shoes, or Jewelry, it is fun to see the variety of things sold to the world and plus you get to have what you want for a short period of time.
My third favorite place is powerhouse studio. I do ballet as you already know and other dances as well. Clogging, hip hop, Jazz, and contemporary are some of the classes given there. I take each of them. The director there is amazing. She doesn't just get mad at us, she sees our full potential and takes it to the max. I love her as a close friend. I feel at peace when I am there because I can forget any of my troubles.
Second is my cousin's house. I go there often for various things but they are always welcoming to my family. We get along very well. The family is all close in age and so we just separate into age groups and we are like a huge family that just belongs together all the time. I love it.
My favorite of all is my home. It is a place of refuge from school or just a bad day. My family listens to me no matter what the condition and it builds a wall against the storm of hard times. Homes can be a bad place too though. Sometimes I have a hard time going there but most of the days I enjoy being home.

  1. Your first line is intriguing. I want to know more. Are the things you list here things that you automatically loved, learned to love, or things that you are merely accepting? In other words you need to make a connection between the first line and the rest of what you say. You will continue to improve as you continue to write.
